Prashar lake is the beautiful weekend treks surrounded by snow capped peaks and accompanied by fast flowing Beas river, the Lake Prashar is very scenic. A winter frozen lake with a dazzling beauty, a jewels of Himachal, also there is a little floating island in between the lake which keeps floating and changes its position, which is quite unique. Mandi and Kullu are reasonably big town and well connected with the plains. One of the top most offbeat place within accessible distance. The surrounding trails are attract to many tourist, 13th century pagoda temple dedicated to Sage Prashar is a brilliant example of architectural design.

Prashar Lake is such ‘hike’ which can be wrapped up within a weekend without any compromising on sheer beauty and richness that Himalayas offered you. We are on and the scenery is magnificent and literally walking above the cloud. An entire amazing panorama of snowy mountain ranges is visible from this location. At the top of the valley, one can be surrounded by lash green spots with lambs, horses and small mud huts. A place covered in the arms of white snow-capped mountains, where the deep blue water of a calm high-altitude lake reflects the golden sun rays. Prashar Lake has 2 states, one, when it is surrounded by green colors with variety of flowers July–August. And, the other state is when the white carpet of snow surrounds this surreal lake in January-March.

“A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth’s eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. The fluviatile trees next to the shore are the slender eyelashes which fringe it, and the wooded hills and cliffs around are its overhanging brows.” – David H. T.

Andy Rawat Very passionate about visual design. I'm enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. The point is when I see a sunset, waterfall or something, for a split second it's so great, bcoj a little bit I'm out of my brain. And I wonder if I can somehow find a way to maintain that mind stillness.
