I have always been fascinated by trekking and hiking stories. I had an unforgettable journey, the view at the top was by far the best that ever seen. The trek involves gradual to steep ascents that even amateurs can cover, Mcleodganj to Triund distance is not much and not exhausting either. The trek is easy, but the last km are relatively steep. Along the way, there are many small tea shops where one can refresh during the hike. Triund is located 8 km from Mcleodganj, 8 kms from Ghalu temple and lies at the feet of the snow clad Dhauladhar. The snow line starts at Ilaka Gote. Triund is a popular trekking spot. The handful tea shops located along the trail and after a few cups of steaming tea and chance to rest the feet and continued the journey. The tracks from Rawa, Dal Lake, Dharamkot and Bhagsunag meet at a ridge known as Galu temple, which has a small shrine and water point. Most of the trackers just walk in and get adjusted at various accomodations in Triund.
