WHAT CAMERA DO YOU HAVE?
I shoot with a Canon Mark-III, Nikon D7000. Here is everything in my camera bag. I always tell people what I shoot with but include this disclaimer: the camera doesn’t matter. If you are looking to get into photography, use whatever you can get your hands on and use that to develop your eye. Once you’re at a point where you feel you’re outgrowing your equipment, then you should look to upgrade. Any sooner than that, and you may end up with a fancy camera with too many bells and whistles than you know how to operate. The best pictures don’t come from the latest equipment :)
WHAT’S YOUR STYLE?
my style I would describe as creative, We love fast-paced, authentic images. I love bright colors and warm sunshine. I seek out genuine moments that make me FEEL something. From Photography backgrounds, meaning we photograph your day as it unfolds naturally without interference from us. Though, my images reflect my love of clean composition, beautiful light, and helping you to look naturally gorgeous! Most photos are lightly posed, meaning I’ll help get you into place first and then encourage interaction and real expressions while we’re snapping away. However, we also put a lot of energy and time into your “portraits”. I'll be there to capture everything and yet I hope you barely remember seeing me. I always say it’s never a photo session without an adventure, and I mean it! We’ll stay on our feet the whole time, seeking out yummy light and backgrounds that enhance your personalities. I’ll be chatting with you the whole time. There is a delicate balance of knowing when to stay back and capture the action that unfolds or when to step in and take advantage of magical light and situation. We look for interesting light, angles and backgrounds, and often use unusual, experimental techniques to turn your wedding portraits into works of art.
DO YOU DO VIDEO TOO?
No, I provide photography only. I prefer to do the absolute best job and provide the absolute highest quality of work for you, and there is no way that I could do that if I were trying to do two things at the same time. I am solely focused at your wedding on capturing beautiful photos that you will preserve in your album and frame on your walls. I would be more than happy to give you referrals of excellent videographers who share a similar mindset.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH NEWBORNS OR EVENTS?
yes, Unfortunately I do offer newborn/kids photography services and i love to work and enjoy with the kids, so I will be happy to work for kids session! also interested in photos of your little one, I begin to work with babies of allage.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE DAY OF MY SESSION?
To have fun! Your photo session will not be stuffy, it will be fun and relaxed! In order to catch the best moments, I like to put my subjects at ease. If you’re being photographed with your significant other, family, or friends, just interact with them as you would normally and leave the rest up to me! Some of the best images are captured when the subjects are acting and reacting naturally, not posing for the camera.
SHOULD THERE BE A WATERMARK/COPYRIGHT INFORMATION ADDED TO THE IMAGES?
No. in Final Delivery, all images must be clear of any copyright information so that the photographers identity is not revealed by the image. In the interest of fairness, the judges are not allowed to see the names of the photographers when judging. Any images that do contain photographers names on the image or any other watermark/copyright information, will be disqualified from being presented to the judges.
WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES AND PACKAGES?
I would love to discuss rates with you! Seeing as that no two weddings are alike and that I have different pricing for Outside Delhi weddings and weddings that require travel, the best way to view at my pricing is by clicking on the CONTACT ME button and emailing me some details about your plans! If I am available on your date, I would be more than happy to email you my rates for your location, as well as chat about putting together a custom package that suits exactly what your wedding requires.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH DETAILS AND FAMILY GROUP PHOTOS?
Yes! A wedding photography collection would not be complete without good details and family photos, and we take all the photographs you would expect out of any wedding photographer. But our goal is to also go past those expectations and give you photographs that you never even imagined.
HAVE YOU SHOT AT OUR LOCATION BEFORE?
If you are getting married in Delhi/NCR, chances are that I have come across your venue in the past 10 years. However, I LOVE shooting at new venues and seeing a location with fresh eyes is very valuable as well! I travel quite frequently for weddings so even if I have not been to your location before, I feel confident that I would do an excellent job capturing it. I would also be happy to visit your location with you prior to the wedding day, or if your wedding is out of town, I will arrive early the day before.
WHAT WILL YOU WEAR TO SHOOT?
It depends on the type of wedding/event you are having. If you are planning a formal, black-tie wedding, I'll be dressed in mostly black and probably a jacket. If you are getting married on the beach in Hawaii, probably a long dress or lighter pants and a blouse. Myself and my staff always dress professionally and appropriately for the location and event we will be shooting.
HOW DID YOU LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY?
I learned photography in college when I was looking for a new hobby! I had called several photographers in the area and offered to work for free on weekends and evenings, and one of the ones who returned my call happened to be a wedding photographer! I took a position as designing albums and meeting with couples, eventually working my way up to assistant photographer and then associate photographer. I did that for four years and when I graduated, formed my own company. The rest is history!
HOW MANY SHOOTERS DO YOU BRING TO A WEDDING?
I always bring at least one other photograph to photograph the entire day with me so that nothing gets missed! The second photographer is responsible for shooting the all details, providing a second angle on the ceremony and reception, and assisting the lead photographer with off-camera lighting for creative portraits. If you are having a large or logistically complicated wedding, I might have two or three additional shooters, and/or assistants to help as well. I always ensure that I am well-staffed to make sure that your wedding is captured and that nothing is missed.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE MY PHOTOS?
New Born Baby Shoot, Engagement and family photos will be available for online viewing approximately three weeks after the shoot. Pre-Wedding, Weddings normally take 4-6 weeks.
I'M WORKING ON A BUDGET, WILL YOU GIVE ME A DISCOUNT?
Our packages have been carefully curated and priced according to their value, so the short answer is "No". However, no two weddings are alike and as such, we would love to create a custom package that suits exactly what you need. If you are working on a smaller budget, we have incredible coverage available beginning price. You will receive the same signature service and have the opportunity to be photographed by Others who has 1-2 years of experience. Please contact us for details!
I DON’T PHOTOGRAPH WELL AND AM SUPER AWKWARD—CAN YOU HELP ME?
Yes, of course! I understand that you might not have experience being photographed and I'm here to help. Through my easy shooing style and natural posing, I make sure that you look natural and lovely in your photos. Some people take a little longer to warm up, and in those cases I make sure that you feel comfortable and relaxed while we are shooting. I promise, I make it painless and fun, and it won't be nearly as bad as you think!
DO YOU TOUCH UP ALL THE IMAGES IN OUR IMAGE DOWNLOAD?
Yes we do. Every image we deliver is post produced with our unique signature style of post production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any images, or will only post produce “select” images from your wedding. This means that you may have pictures that are too dark, have strange skin tones or other common photography flaws.
DO YOU DELIVER EVERY IMAGE YOU SHOOT?
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because we shoot with low apertures, sometimes we take a few extra shots to make sure we have the perfect focus. We don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so we spend hours doing that on our end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. We might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure we have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With our expertise of processing millions of images each year, we may eliminate ones that we feel are duplicates and only deliver the best one.
MY (HUSBAND/WIFE/FIANCEE/CHILD) HATES BEING IN PHOTOS—CAN YOU HELP ME?
Yes, it would be my pleasure to help :). We are very calm, mellow people who tend to blend into the scene rather than bring attention to ourselves and our cameras. That, combined with our documentary style, will have you both used to us within the first half-hour of your getting-ready time. I often bring a bag of treats (read: bribes) which I will discuss with you in advance to make sure that you are okay with what I plan to bring. Your three year old is obsessed with dinosaurs? I might have one or two in my bag! If you are a grown up who just hates being in photos, I try to shoot quickly and we take lots of breaks to chat and have fun. Most couples tell us it felt like we were just one of the gang, hanging out with everyone. The only time you’ll really be aware of the cameras is during the family group photo and the creative portraits, and during this time we will guide you through everything. You can just be yourselves, and we will take care of the rest. I regularly hear from my clients that they are surprised at how easy and relaxed they felt at their shoot. Engagement sessions are a great way to practice being in photos and working with me so that way your wedding photos are much more natural, easy, and fun!.
WHY IS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SO EXPENSIVE?
… er … no its not. A lot of people tend to see wedding photography as just the 10 odd hours the photographer shoots on the day. But by our calculations, we spend over 40 hours on each wedding. Right from the first contact, the subsequent meetings, emails and phone calls, the hours start piling up. The engagement shoot will probably take 3-4 hours, editing its images another 4 hours The wedding day itself throws out over a thousand images which could take anywhere between 12-16 hours to edit, images need to be backed up, uploaded, albums designed, modified, all the while continuing communications with you, the printers and the binders. Weeks after your wedding, while other vendors have long since moved on to other projects, we’ll be the only ones still working on your wedding.
WHY IS PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY 'EXPENSIVE'?
We think it's such a great question that it's deserving of an answer. From the first call you place to our photo studio we are committed to giving you an unparalleled chunk of our time. Planning for the session, preparing, photographing, editing, posting, reviewing, showing, ordering and framing add up to a significant amount of people hours. Having great folks by our side and a beautiful location in an urban setting are our two largest expenses. Our satisfied clientele know how much of a difference it makes having good people show you a good time.
About the author
Andy Rawat Very passionate about visual design. I'm enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. The point is when I see a sunset, waterfall or something, for a split second it's so great, bcoj a little bit I'm out of my brain. And I wonder if I can somehow find a way to maintain that mind stillness.
